Getting Started
Becoming a new patient begins with a phone conversation with our team.
- Call our office. We will discuss your dental concerns, the type of care you are seeking, your insurance, and some basic intake information.
- Complete your new-patient paperwork. After our conversation, we will send you a secure link to complete your forms. All required paperwork must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled.
- We will contact you to schedule. Once we receive your completed paperwork, our team will create your patient record and contact you to schedule the appropriate first visit.

What to Expect at Your First Visit
New patients typically begin with a comprehensive examination so we can gain a complete understanding of their current oral health. This visit may include necessary imaging and a microscopic evaluation of oral bacteria, along with time to discuss your health history, concerns, and goals with your doctor.
Your examination allows us to determine the type of care you need. Depending on our findings, your next visit may be scheduled for a routine cleaning, gingival therapy, or other recommended treatment. Because we personalize care according to each patient’s needs, a cleaning is not typically performed during the initial comprehensive examination.
Dental Insurance
Whole Tree Dentistry is an out-of-network provider with most dental insurance plans. Before scheduling, we encourage you to contact your insurance company and confirm that your plan includes out-of-network dental benefits.
When speaking with your insurance company, you may also want to ask about your out-of-network deductible, annual maximum, reimbursement levels, and any limitations that may apply.
As a courtesy, we are happy to file dental insurance claims on your behalf. Insurance benefits vary by plan, and any information provided by an insurance company is not a guarantee of payment. Patients are responsible for charges not covered by their plan.
Please note that Whole Tree Dentistry does not file medical insurance or Medicaid claims.
